About Glenn Campbell

Glenn Campbell is the CEO and Co-Founder of Tourwriter, an award-winning itinerary management software used by travel designers in over 30 countries. With over two decades of experience bridging finance, travel, and B2B SaaS, Glenn is a leading voice on the technology shaping the modern tour operation industry.

Starting his career in financial analysis as a chartered accountant at Audit New Zealand, Glenn pivoted to the tourism industry in 2003 when he founded Experience New Zealand Travel. As one of the world's first inbound operators to build its business entirely online, he successfully scaled and sold the company to a publicly listed entity. Reflecting on his transition from accountant to travel entrepreneur, Glenn recognised early on that the internet was about to permanently change the way people book and experience travel.

Frustrated by the lack of software capable of handling bespoke, multi-day travel design, Glenn co-founded Tourwriter in 2004 alongside Seba Illingworth and 2 other fellow inbound operators. Under his leadership, the original platform—and its 2019 successor, Minim, rebranded back to Tourwriter in 2022—has been used to generate over 2 million itineraries. His strategic direction has also led Tourwriter to feature on the Deloitte Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500 index for four consecutive years.

Beyond Tourwriter, Glenn actively supports the broader tech and tourism ecosystem, including the formation of a Tourism Accelerator in 2020, which launched a number of Tourism Tech businesses, including Roady, a leading New Zealand travel app backed by Angel HQ, which he Chairs. Splitting his time between Wellington, New Zealand, and London, UK, he is a regular thought leader at global trade shows, including PURE Life Experiences, WTM, and ITB.
