Before TourWriter, what did you use?
Prior to my own business I used Excel and Word.
What problems did you have with your old Tour Operator software?
We found Excel prone to errors for staff that weren’t familiar with operating it, and we ended up with mistakes and spreadsheet problems costing the business money. Using Word to produce itineraries meant we were cutting and pasting information for a large amount of itineraries.
How did these problems affect your business?
Aside from the financial burden and time to load data, the quality level of quality was not acceptable
What made you decide to use TourWriter? Did you try out any other solutions?
We had a look at Tourplan, but it would have been like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. The system was far too complex for our needs, and we didn’t find the user interface intuitive.
What was your experience when getting started with TourWriter?
As we were involved in development from the inception of TourWriter, it was easy to get underway. Updates since have been regular and easy to instal and understand.
How has TourWriter improved your business?
The implementation of TourWriter enabled us to step back from our business, and let our staff run it, rather than needing us to be constantly checking their work. The ability to designate individual functionality to each staff member, has been really helpful from that perspective as well. The staff all love the intuitive nature of the software. TourWriter has really allowed us to work on our business, rather than in our business. The accounting interface has also saved a significant amount of time for our accounts, and that one piece of functionality saves us enough to pay for the whole software.! I can’t imagine their being a better tour operator software solution in the marketplace!
